Farragut AYSO 128 Registration Information

We've got it for you...

Farragut AYSO 128 Fall 2010 Soccer Registration

It's already time to begin the FALL 2010 registration process. We know we're all going to have a great year.  We've tried to provide as much information as we can so keep reading!  MANY details are still being worked out but we want to keep you informed and we'll update the website as information is available.

We're very excited about this season of soccer at Region 128 and we know you are also.  Don't forget that we continue to need lots of volunteers:  coaches, assistant coaches, referees (lots of referees), team parents, etc.  For those of you who are new, here is a link to an excellent Parent Orientation Video (sponsored by the AYSO National organization) about AYSO soccer that shows what it means to players, parents and volunteers.

If you are willing to be a coach, an assistant coach or a referee, please send an email to Chris Stafford, Regional Commissioner or Jack Graham, Referee Administrator as soon as possible.  No experience is necessary for any of these roles.  We'd be happy to provide training and mentoring until you get comfortable.  Please remember...

It takes ALL of us to make AYSO Region 128 soccer great for the players!

CHANGES TO REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR FALL 2010

NEW REQUIREMENT: You must bring proof of player’s birth date to registration.
Acceptable forms include birth certificate, passport or any other id that contains
the birth date.  Registration will not be accepted without this information.

This year there are 2 options to complete the registration form but DO NOT sign the registration form until you come to registration.  Plan to pick up volunteer information and sign up as a volunteer at registration as well!
Option #1: You can print the form by clicking this player registration form link, then complete it at your convenience and bring it to registration.
Option #2: You can also go to www.eayso.org and complete the on-line form there, print it and bring it to registration along with the appropriate fees.
NOTE: If you use pre-register via eayso.org, you will still have to complete the Kid’s Zone Parent Pledge Form that is required by Region 128.

2010 Volunteer Registration

Each fall season, volunteers (returning or new) MUST submit a volunteer registration form. This is required by National AYSO. ANY volunteer (coach, referee, board member, team parent, tournament volunteer, etc.) has to complete this process. (If you submitted a volunteer registration form
to Region 128 for the Fall 2009 season, you don't need to do it again for the Spring 2010 season.)

There are 2 methods for submitting the form as listed below. You must present a photo id (driver’s license, passport or state id) when you turn in the form to the Region 128 Child Volunteer Protection Advocate (CVPA), Registrar or designated Board Member.

Registration using the e-AYSO website: (the most private and easiest method)
If you want to register as a volunteer or youth volunteer in the national e-AYSO database (click on the button below), it will make each year's registration process easier but you'll still need to print out the form and bring 3 copies to registration (1 for AYSO National, 1 for the region and 1 for you).

Login to eAYSO

Registration using a pen and paper:
If you'd rather not use the online e-AYSO system, you can still complete the volunteer paperwork at any of the activities listed above.

EITHER WAY... PLEASE VOLUNTEER !!!!!

For answers to other questions about being an AYSO volunteer,
please contact our Child/Volunteer Protection Advocate (CVPA)
Thanks for volunteering your time and talents to Region 128!

AYSO 128 Registration Information:

  • Farragut AYSO is a recreational soccer league.  Teams are balanced a the the beginning of each season and every player plays at least 1/2 of every game. Coaches, Referees and Board Members are volunteers - they get no compensation of their time.  Volunteers are a BIG part of Farragut AYSO and without the volunteers, the league would not run.  Training is available for anyone wanting to coach, referee or just learn more about soccer.
  • Farragut AYSO plays games at their fields in front of the Pellissippi College just off Hardin Valley Rd and Pellissippi Parkway.  Inter-regional games are also scheduled for older players in the U10 through U19 divisions.  These games are usually within 1 hour of Knoxville.
  • Farragut AYSO practices in the Farragut area at Anchor Park, Concord Park, Watt Road and also at the Pellissippi Soccer fields.  All divisions (except the youngest division - U6) practices twice a week and plays games on Saturdays.  The youngest division practices once a week and has a "game"/practice on Saturday mornings.
  • Registration forms are available at the registration location or at Soccer USA in Farragut (next to Kohl's) beforehand.
  • To register for AYSO, your child must be at least 4 years old by July 31, 2010 to play
    2010 Fall Soccer.
  • The cost per season is $90 for one child, $125 for two children from the same family and $150 for three children from same family although we offer a discount for Early Registration.
  • Uniform/Jerseys will be on sale at registration.  Other necessary clothing is available at local stores in Farragut.
  • There is a possibility of a late registration after the teams are divided just prior to the first games.  There will be an additional fee of $25 per child registered at that time.
Important Information on Moving Up/Down Divisions:

Players are NOT allowed to move Up or down.  Any player who wants to play in a division other than the one their birthday falls in will NOT be allowed to do so.  We do not expect to allow any exceptions for this 2010 Fall Soccer season.

Even players who previously moved up should expect to be placed in their correct division.

Coaches kids will be the only ones who will be even considered for moving up.  This policy has to be enforced because of safety concerns and any exception must be approved by the Regional Commissioner.  Board members and coaches will be available at registration to address any questions.
