Referee Update:  It's hard to believe we just finished the second week of fall games! Thanks so much for volunteering! The game schedules for the next 2 weekends have been posted. Please review the open slots and let Eva know if you can fill any of them. Note that on the 9/29 games especially, we’ll be short some upper level referees for the U16 & U19 games; so please let her know if you can help!

September 11, 2007

Referee Update:  Great job this past weekend, everyone!  We had an excellent kickoff to the fall season and look forward to the rest of the season.  As always (it seems) we're looking for referees for this weekend for both U8 and U10+.  Eva is out of town this week so please contact Jack Graham if you can help out. All responses must be submitted by 12:00 noon on Friday's since we have to post the schedules at the Pellissippi fields by 3:00pm.

September 7, 2007

Referee Schedules:  We have had a wonderful response to request for referees; however, we still need 5 more centers and could use quite a few ARs. Please let Eva know by 12:00 noon today if you can help out. All responses must be submitted by 12:00 noon on Friday's as she has to post the schedules at the Pellissippi fields by 3:00pm.

Also, please review next weekend’s schedule and let Eva know where you can help with that as well. Thanks again for volunteering with AYSO Region 128. Without your time and talents, our kids would not have the opportunity to play!

September 6, 2007

Referee Schedules:  The first referee schedules have been posted on the Referee page.  There are a LOT of open slots that need to be filled, both center referee and AR's.  We know that it is short notice (but it always seems to work that way for the first week or so). As always, please contact Eva with your availability and we'll add you to the schedule.  Your time and commitment to the kids is appreciated!

Team Schedules:  We will post the game schedules for coaches and players within the next week or so.  We're still working out conflicts and last minute adjustments. In the meantime, you can view this week's schedule here.  Thanks for your patience.

August 27, 2007

Late Registration: After closing Late Registration last week, we've had quite a few players drop in U12B and U14B and as a result, we need to add some players to those divisions or the teams will be short-handed. Therefore, to be fair as possible, we are going to temporarily re-open those divisions and establish Waiting Lists for ALL divisions. There are still no guarantees that a slot will open up for a player on the waiting list but this will allow us to add players to teams until the start of the season the weekend of Sep 8th. To sign up for the Waiting List, the parent or player (no coaches or friends) must send an email to the Registrar with the information shown below.

  • Player's Name

  • Gender

  • Birthdate

  • Age/Division

  • Contact Phone Number

When a slot opens up on a team, we will use this email's timestamp to determine who is next on Waiting List and use the Contact Phone Number provided to contact the parent or guardian. If you have not been contacted by 9/8, it is unlikely that additional slots will open up so please check back on the website periodically for information on the Spring 2008 registration window.

August 23, 2007 (Updated at 7:30am)

Late Registration:       Registration for the Fall 2007 season is now closed.
No new requests for late registration will be accepted.  Those of you who have contacted the registrar for late registration should follow the instructions given to you to complete your child's registration.  If you missed it this season, please check back on this page periodically for news about Spring 2008 registration.

August 21, 2007

Late Registration: Some of the teams are filled.  Please review the list below for updates.

Referee Training: Also, here's a reminder about the upcoming Referee Training to be held on 8/24 & 8/25.  Attendance at the appropriate session will be important to new referees and would make a good refresher course for those who've been "on the pitch" for awhile.  There have been changes to the Law and interpretations over the past few years that everyone should be aware of.

Jersey Sale: We will be holding another opportunity to buy your child an AYSO Region 128 soccer jersey on Tuesday, 9/4, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Soccer USA.  Soccer USA is located next to Kohl's in Farragut at 11556 Kingston Pike.

Late Registration Instructions!

  • Check the age guide below to determine into what age level
    your child belongs.

  • Check the division availability list below to determine if there are
    possible openings.

  • E-mail the following info about your child to registrar@ayso128.org

    • Full Name

    • Gender (boy/girl)

    • Birth date

    • Division to play in (from the table below)

  • You will receive an e-mail within one business day to tell you if
your child can be registered and what procedures to follow to

TEAM ASSIGNMENT INFO - PLEASE READ !

To all Parents:  Signups are over and teams are being formed now!

Please DO NOT send emails to or call a Region 128 board member (like our registrars) about what team or coach your child has been assigned to until after
Monday, Sep 3, 2007.  All coaches should have contacted their players/parents by then.  We know your child is excited about playing this season but we need time to get the teams and coaches assigned.  Replying to inquiry emails will slow down the process.

For those who may have missed signups, we are sorry but we cannot add any more players until we find out how many teams & coaches we have from the early and regular signups.  Please keep checking back and we'll post any age groups with teams that have open spots.

Please review your calendars and let Eva know ASAP if you can help this weekend. There are a LOT of open slots for both center referees and AR's

Important Notice!

On Monday evening (5/7), a U11 player from the Blue Ridge Youth Soccer Association in Winchester, VA was killed in a scrimmage when a portable goal flipped over and struck him. It apparently broke his neck and killed him instantly. (News article can be found here.)

Coaches, Referees and Parents please ensure the goals are staked or weighted down for both games and practices. It seems like such a petty requirement until an incident like this occurs. Please do not let this happen to any of our kids!!!

May 11, 2007

We still need 5 center refs for U10 and above games tomorrow. All games tonight are covered. Please note that the U16G game has been cancelled. A reschedule is being considered.

Please review your calendars and let Eva know if you can help with any of the open slots. She has to hear from you by 12:00 noon to get your name on the posted schedule; if after that, please just show up at the fields to help out.

Spring Area AYSO Tournament

In spite of the weather, the Spring Area AYSO Tournament was a resounding success!  The kids had a great time, played some great soccer and the parents, coaches, referees and tournament officials worked together to make the event memorable for the kids.  Congratulations to all of the winners in the tournament and we feel that EVERYONE who participated in it is a WINNER!

For those referees still able to run, jog or at least walk, we can still use your help for the upcoming weekends.  Please take a look at the upcoming schedules because we have a lot of games that need referees... Thanks again for volunteering your time and talents!

Spring Area Tournament

The tournament games are on as planned although the weather could affect individual games. There were games from Friday night that were cancelled due to weather that will probably be rescheduled.  Please stay in touch with your team's coach for the latest information about your games.

Best of luck to all teams!

Thanks again for volunteering your time and talents!

We've only attached this weekend’s schedule to the Referees page. The Area 5B Spring Tournament will be held on May 4 – 6 so we won’t play “regular” games that weekend. Please review the openings for this weekend. Eva needs to know by Thursday if you can help.

April 18, 2007

We have only 4 center positions left open – thanks so much for getting on the sheet so quickly. Eva will be unavailable through the weekend so please respond to Jack if you can help out.

There's no better way to shake off the pressure of getting your taxes done this week than to get out on a soccer field with the kids!  Remember, exercise is one of the best stress relievers...

We're also beginning to plan for the Area 5B Tournament on May 4th and 5th, so ask your coach if your team will be participating and mark your calendars.

April 16, 2007

There's no better way to shake off the pressure of getting your taxes done this week than to get out on a soccer field with the kids!  Remember, exercise is one of the best stress relievers...

We've updated the referee schedules for the next 2 weekends. There are a LOT of openings for this weekend (4/20 & 4/21) so please contact Eva as soon as possible if you can help out.

April 12, 2007

We just updated the referee schedules for the next 3 weekends. We have one center open for this weekend – Friday @ 6:30 on P4. We also have several AR positions as well. There is also a make up U12B game at 6:45 on Friday that still needs a ref team. Please contact Eva as soon as possible if you can help out.

April 9, 2007

We hope you had a great (although probably COLD) Easter weekend with family and friends!

This week's referee schedules (4/13-4/14), as well as the schedule for the next two weeks (4/20-4/21 & 4/27-4/28), are posted below. This week is looking good but the upcoming weeks have a LOT of openings. Just send an email to  Eva and let her know you're willing to help out.

We're also beginning to plan for the Area 5B Tournament on May 4th and 5th, so ask your coach if your team will be participating and mark your calendars.

Thanks for all that you do for the kids!

April 3, 2007

A reminder for this weekend... There are NO games on Easter weekend.
We hope you'll have a great time with your family.

Next week's referee schedules (4/13 & 4/14) are posted. As usual, there are plenty of opportunities remaining to help out. Just send an email to  Eva and let her know you're willing.

March 30, 2007

Quick update for this weekend...

  • We still need 2 center refs for this weekend – U12B at 12:30 and U12B at 2:00. They are both IR games and we really have to have full ref teams. Please let Eva know if you can help with either of these by 11:00 today.

  • U19G (E Conry) game has been rescheduled to Katie Hunter field at 4pm on 3/31

  • U19B (T Conry) game originally scheduled for 3/31 @ 1pm is cancelled due to Region 390 team drop.

March 26, 2007

The latest referee schedules for this weekend (3/30 & 3/31) and the weekend after Easter (4/13 & 4/14) have been posted.  There are NO games on Easter weekend. We have lots of open slots for both weekends. If you've been through referee training, we can use the help so please take a look for any games you can do. If you're just starting out and a little uncomfortable, don't worry about it.  We'll work to set you up with an experienced referee as a mentor. Just send an email to  Eva and let her know.

March 10, 2007

It’s game time – it's hard to believe that it’s finally here. We hope all of you have a great weekend.  The Regional Commissioner has asked to send the following reminders and information to all coaches and referees:

  • If you play or referee on fields 3 (U12 games) or 4 (U10 games), you and your players need to park nearest Hardin Valley Road.

  • If you play or referee on fields 1 (U6/U16/U19 games) or 2 (U14 games), you and your players need to park on the north side of the fields at the top of the hill.

  • NO ONE is allowed to park on the side road – they will be ticketed and towed.

  • There will be huge piles of dirt and sand near the dumpsters in the Hardin Valley parking lot. Please, please keep children out of these piles.

  • If anyone brings a pet on the field, please remind them that animals (except for certified service animals) are not allowed on the fields. Also, ask that they clean up any mess the animal makes.

More good news...

  • Game Schedules for all age groups have been posted on 3/10/2007 on both the Players & Coaches pages.  (You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the schedules but it's a free download from here.)

  • Likewise we're going to post Referee Schedules on a week by week basis on the Referee page so you can keep track of what games you have.  This will not change the signup process but hopefully it will help ensure that we get to the correct field on time ( remember you're trying for 30 min prior to the game time whenever possible).

Thanks again for volunteering your time and talents to Region 128!!!! You are greatly appreciated by the kids, the parents and, if we haven’t said it enough, the Region 128 board members!
