Coach Training offered by Region 128 (No Charge)

To provide the best experience possible for the players, all head coaches must have attended coach training at or above your current division level and we strongly encourage assistant coaches to attend age appropriate training as well.

When:	Saturday, 2/20/10
What:	U8 U10 U12	8:30am to 10:00am 10:00am to 12:00noon 12:00noon to 3:30pm (bringing a lunch is encouraged)
Where:	Farragut Presbyterian Church, Jamestown Blvd. Farragut

Notes:	The best coaches for young players interact directly so this training will include more than just lecture/handouts. Wear comfortable coaching attire and tennis shoes and plan to kick the ball around (inside & out).

Farragut AYSO 128 SPRING 2010 Registration

Winter has just arrived but it's already time to begin the SPRING 2010 registration process. We know we're all going to have a great year.  We've provided as much information as we can below.  MANY details are still being worked out but we want to keep you informed and we'll update the website as information is available.

We're very excited about this season of soccer at Region 128 and we know you are also.  Don't forget that we continue to need lots of volunteers:  coaches, assistant coaches, referees (lots of referees), team parents, etc.  For those of you who are new, here is a link to an excellent Parent Orientation Video (sponsored by the AYSO National organization) about AYSO soccer that shows what it means to players, parents and volunteers.

If you are willing to be a coach, an assistant coach or a referee, please send an email to Steve Trotter, Coach Coordinator or Jack Graham, Referee Administrator as soon as possible. 
No experience is necessary for any of these roles.  We'd be happy to provide training and mentoring until you get comfortable.  Please remember...

SPRING 2010 Soccer Signups

We now have the official word on Spring 2010 soccer signups and tentative plans for a few of the other key dates you need to be aware of.  There will be more updates as information becomes available. 

There is a lot more useful information available on the Registration page but at a minimum, we recommend EVERYONE checks back here at least weekly for updates.

Key Dates for SPRING 2010 Season:

All meetings & training sessions are typically held at:

Important Reminders!

The Regional Commissioner has asked to send the following reminders and information to all coaches and referees:

• Parking:
   – If you play or referee on fields 3 (U12 games) or 4 (U10 games), you and your players need to park nearest Hardin Valley Road.
   – If you play or referee on fields 1 (U6/U16/U19 games) or 2 (U14 games), you and your players need to park on the north side of the fields at the top of the hill.
   – NO ONE is allowed to park on the side road – they will be ticketed and towed.

• Pets: No pets allowed on the field except for service animals (i.e. seeing eye dog). This is a policy change beginning January 2008.

• Game Schedules:  for all age groups will be been posted on both the Players & Coaches pages. (You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the schedules but it's a free download from here.)

• Referee Schedules: We're posting Referee Schedules on a week by week basis on the Referee page so you can keep track of what games you have.  This will not change the signup process but hopefully it will help ensure that everyone gets to the correct field on time ( remember you're trying for 30 min prior to the game time whenever possible).
