All Divisions are are OPEN. See below for the full list. Please contact Susan Mann, the AYSO128 Region Registrar, if you have any registration questions.

Here is a link to Team Expectations for providing referees during Spring 2012 season.

We are also continuing to offer our AYSO128 VIP Program for special needs players.
The Co-coordinator and Coach for this group is Alan Devan. Here is a link to the brochure (be patient with the download, it's a large file) and a link to the AYSO National VIP Program info.  Please contact Alan Devan if you have questions regarding the VIP program only.

AYSO128 Guidelines

It's nearly time for fall soccer to kick off and we are excited about having the coaches, parents and referees joining forces to be a great team in support of the players. Just some gentle reminders as you proceed through the season:

  1. AYSO Philosophy - The most basic tenent of AYSO is that we all work together to keep the practices and games FUN, SAFE and FAIR!  We want to teach the players to play soccer well and to enjoy the beautiful game.  Winning is great but it is not the focus of AYSO.

Remember, KIDS are the focus for AYSO!

  2. Jewelry - NO jewelry of any kind is permitted in practices or games.  That includes newly pierced ears.  Under no circumstances are we allowed to permit players on the pitch with earrings in.  This is a safety issue and is policy from AYSO National on down to our region.  It is possible that some coach or referee incorrectly allow a player on the field with earrings in the past but we will be strictly adhering to this requirement and we appreciate your support. (One exception is for medic alert bracelets or necklaces for medical conditions and there are approved methods for dealing with these items.)

  3. Team Expectations. Teams who expect to participate in post season or tournament play must have provided referee services over the course of the regular season:

    • From U6 teams- no expected referees

    • From U8 teams – 1 or more trained referees per team and coverage of 4 games per season per referee – ( 8 games total)  teams without referees will scrimmage rather than have games on Saturday   Each team is expected to provide a parent volunteer to help with the line calls each week on a rotating basis so that all families get a chance to experience the club linesperson roll.

    • From U10 and U12 teams – 2 or more trained active referees per team and coverage of 4 games per season per referee. (4 covered games per referee)  This is the minimum level of referees to allow the offside call to be made for players.

    • For U14 and above teams  -a referee team of 3 is needed for each home game –the pool of referees will come over time from the group of trained referees from the U8 through the U12 teams.  Region 128 will not offer teams at upper division play unless prior to the season we have committed referee teams to cover that level of play and meeting the minimum standard of an intermediate referee in the center(U14) or advanced referee in the center (U16 and U19) and two experienced basic referees (a minimum of one year active refereeing at U12) or above as Assistant Referees.

  4. Important Reminder!

The Regional Commissioner has asked to include the following reminders and information to all coaches and referees:

    • Parking:
       – If you play or referee on fields 3 (U12 games) or 4 (U10 games), you and your players need to park nearest Hardin Valley Road.
       – If you play or referee on fields 1 (U6/U16/U19 games) or 2 (U14 games), you and your players need to park on the north side of the fields at the top of the hill.
       – NO ONE is allowed to park on the side road – they will be ticketed and towed.

    • Pets: No pets allowed on the field except for service animals (i.e. seeing eye dog).

    • Referee Schedules: We're now using an online system for managing Referee Schedules. It worked great in the Spring and hopefully it will help ensure that everyone gets to the correct field on time ( remember you're trying for 30 min prior to the game time whenever possible).

  5. Thefts - Unfortunately last season we had cars broken into and a purse stolen at the upper parking lot. Please take care to keep your valuables in your possession or other secure location.  Having valuables stolen really takes the fun out of the day.
